Photos from the march

I’ve uploaded some photos from the march, click here http://bpacc.net/march-for-the-nhs/some-photos-from-the-day/ to view.

It was a really excellent day and it was brilliant to see so many people out there marching. Keep up the great work everyone, you’re all doing well!

Canvassing this weekend

This weekend we’ll be leafleting in Poole and Bournemouth town centres with the NHS leaflets. It’s nothing very organised – just a couple of people needed to hand them out, whenever suits them.

We want this march to be huge, so the more people who know about it, the bigger it will be!

People can also volunteer to deliver the leaflets to letterboxes – please give me a shout if you’re happy to do this!

I have leaflets that I’m happy to give to people so if you want to lend a hand please email me at helen@bpacc.net.

Otherwise, hope to see some of you at the weekend!

Friday 1st April

This Friday is ‘Come together for the NHS Day’. I’m going to Poole for a couple of hours to gather signatures for a petition. If anyone wants to join me you can send me an email at helen@bpacc.net. Would love company!

If anyone wants to do the same in Bournemouth, or anywhere else that would be great too! Petitions can be printed out from this link http://www.nhscampaign.org/uploads/documents/petition_2011.pdf

Some videos from the TUC rally

Absolutely brilliant day yesterday, I’m so glad I could be there. It was very insporong seeing everyone come together for what, despite the news reports, was a peaceful protest. Half a million people were estimated to be there and they were still coming into Hyde Park at 4.30!

Here’s a few clips for those who couldn’t make it –

Short clip of the march:

Coming up very soon…

After a successful meeting last night – thanks to everyone who came – we have a couple of things coming up in the next week or so.

First – more stewards are needed for the big march on the 26th. Training will be given and is taking place on the 17th of March at the Unite offices. It will only take an hour or so and volunteers are desperately needed. If you are willing to help send me an email at helen@bpacc.net. Many thanks in advance!

Secondly – we’re running another recruitment/information stall. This one is on the 19th of March starting at 12 noon and will be outside the Sovereign Centre in Boscombe. If you want to come along and help then the more the merrier! Let’s tell the people we’re here and what we’re about.

A few more events have been added to the Events page and I’ll post more about them as we get closer.
