The Nasty World of the JSA Sanction

Good Advice Matters have carried out some research into JSA sanctions and have stated that the rules haven’t changed. However, what has changed is that the level of sanctioning between different job centres is being closely monitored and managers are expected to make decisions imposing sanctions on 5% of claimants. Basically 5% is the norm and if your centre is imposing fewer sanctions they are under pressure to get their figures up. They have also given 5 tips for anyone who is in the unfortunate position of having their JSA sanctioned.
